Project Relationships & Directory
How the projects fit together
This is a family of independent products, not one bundled platform. The portal helps users find the right product; using one product does not require the others. DataRelay Grant has a different role from Link and Control: it provides an optional shared approval step. Link, Control, or an external system can call Grant when an action needs a human decision before execution, while the system that requested the action remains responsible for carrying it out.Current project directory
Shared engineering foundation
Data Relay Engineering System
The products run independently, while the Engineering System provides one shared process for design, implementation handoff, testing, PR/CI verification, releases, operations, and continuing work across sessions. This site explains that process; the rules themselves live in datarelay-labs/engineering-system.
Product boundaries
DataRelay Link is not DataRelay Control
DataRelay Link is not DataRelay Control
Link controls what can connect. It does not provide the Stream/Route/Destination data-processing model used by Control.
DataRelay Control is not a manager for Link
DataRelay Control is not a manager for Link
Control manages enterprise data flows. It is not currently a centralized registration, heartbeat, policy-delivery, or state-synchronization controller for Link.
DataRelay Grant is an approval layer, not the execution runtime
DataRelay Grant is an approval layer, not the execution runtime
Grant is intended to decide whether a requested action may proceed after explicit human approval. The actual approved action remains the responsibility of Link, Control, or the external system that performs it.
Grant integration is optional
Grant integration is optional
Link and Control remain independently usable products. Grant may complement them when a human approval gate is required, but neither product depends on Grant as a mandatory runtime component.
Future products remain independent
Future products remain independent
New DataRelay Labs products can use their own runtime, repository, release lifecycle, and documentation site while still being discoverable from this portal.
